SD Garage Lock

How it works

An Australian made garage door lock made of rubber and aluminum designed to sit in the tracks is a compact, functional security feature. The lock mechanism consists of a rubberized casing, which helps absorb shock and prevent damage to both the door and the tracks, while also providing a tight, friction-based grip.

The aluminum component adds strength and durability, ensuring the lock can withstand wear and tear.

The lock fits into the horizontal tracks of the garage door, typically near the bottom or at the sides. When engaged, it physically blocks the door’s movement, preventing it from being lifted or tampered with.
The rubber ensures it won't scratch or damage the track, and it allows for a quiet operation, reducing the noise when locking or unlocking.

This design is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, making it an effective and low-maintenance option for added security in garages, especially when protecting against unauthorized access.

The addition of a magnetic strip on the back of the lock adds an extra layer of convenience. The magnetic strip allows the lock to easily attach to the metal surface of the garage door tracks or any other magnetic surface in the garage. This feature ensures that the lock stays in place when not in use and provides an easy, hands-free way to store it.
